The Inn's newest and largest room is also PET FRIENDLY!

Opened in September 2019, the Thomas Walker Annex stirs adventurous excitement known to many explorers.  Named and decorated in honor of the first documented explorer through the historic Cumberland Gap, Dr. Thomas Walker, this one-room oasis boasts 2 queen-sized beds, a generous sitting area, work desk, amenities that allow for longer-term and very private stays (mini fridge/freezer combo, microwave, Keurig), and even a separate "mud room" for storage of your bicycles, luggage, pet supplies, etc.  A highlight of the room is the large, partially covered deck alongside Gap Creek that is for exclusive use by Thomas Walker guests only.

Plan your explorations, pack your bags, and stay with us in our unique and very comfortable Thomas Walker Annex.

Amenities in the Thomas Walker Annex:

Occupancy:  4 guests (5 with a roll-away bed)

Private entrance / mudroom

One-room suite

Private bathroom (shower only / no tub)

Private balcony

IMPORTANT!  This room is attached to, but not accessible from, the main house.  The Thomas Walker Annex has a private entrance that is accessible only from the Inn's rear parking area (behind the Little Congress Bicycle Museum).  Guests will need to walk outdoors and up the deck stairs in order to enter the main house and dining room for breakfast.  Please keep this in mind for mobility and inclement weather reasons.
